About the event

Data Management Plans (DMPs) are a mandatory requirement for Tri-Council funded research. Existing guidance primarily outlines how to meet regulatory and reporting expectations. In this seminar, we will complement that guidance by offering practical strategies for designing and implementing a Data Management Plan that not only fulfills requirements, but also actively supports efficient data collection, high-quality research processes, and FAIR-aligned data sharing using open tools in a field-agnostic context.

Gabriel Devenyi leads the Douglas Neuroinformatics Platform (DNP), architecting the software, platforms, and infrastructure of the DNP, including OpenDataCapture, DataBank, and an extensive High Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure.

Cian Monnin is a Scientific Programmer at the CoBrA Lab and DNP where he writes and maintains scientific software, runs neuroimaging analyses on HPCs, and provides user support.
