Mission Control MRI Simulation

Mission Control is a free space-themed VR simulation designed to improve the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) experience for young users.

By combining storytelling, playful gamification, and engaging visuals and head-tracking technology, it turns the MRI scan procedure into an educational and fun journey to the moon.

This innovative platform helps users familiarize themselves with the MRI process in a safe, controlled environment while practicing the stillness needed for a successful scan.

Mission Control was developed by the Douglas VR Suite team between 2024 and 2025, and the prototype won first place at the McGillXR hackathon in 2024. It is available for free on the Meta Store.
