Mission Control MRI Simulation

Mission Control is free a space-themed VR simulation designed to improve the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) experience for young patients.

By combining storytelling, playful gamification, and engaging visuals and head-tracking technology, it turns the MRI scan procedure into an educational and fun journey to the moon.

This innovative platform helps children familiarize themselves with the MRI process in a safe, controlled environment while practicing the stillness needed for a successful scan.

Mission Control was developed by the Douglas VR Suite team between 2024 and 2025, and the prototype won first place at the McGillXR hackathon in 2024.
